I’m Maria.

I’m a hair stylist and makeup artist, and I love to help women achieve the look they’re after, whether it’s for a glamourous wedding, a modelling shoot, or an every-day look to maximise their best features.  Using makeup and hairdressing techniques learned in over two decades in the fashion industry, I’d love to help you look your best.

I moved to London from my home in Bilbao, Spain, in 1990, and have worked all over the world, before settling in Cornwall in 2008, with my family.

I have worked with top photographers and models, producing the right look for catwalk shows, photo shoots, TV, magazines and film. I’ve also worked for clients planning their weddings, and spent years teaching others these skills too.  I was awarded an MA in Art and Design from Central St Martin’s College in 2001, and was Senior Lecturer in Hair and Makeup at the London College of Fashion for several years.

I firmly believe in keeping my skills up to date, and have attended various courses and kept up with current trends and new products.  I love to spot trends, people-watching to see what’s happening in the world of hair and makeup, so you won’t find my work is provincial, at all.

There are many makeup artists and hairdressers in Cornwall, but few have my level of experience in both of these areas, meaning that I am uniquely placed to give a holistic view of your look, and combine hair and makeup techniques to make the best possible version of you.

I believe that every woman is beautiful.  Not every woman knows this yet, and not every woman knows how to allow it to shine through.  This means that many women are hiding their natural assets, such as beautiful eyes, or lush hair, because they don’t know how to highlight these areas.  I can help you to appreciate your beauty, and teach you how to show it off.
